In der Praxis alltäglich

Forschung und Lehre

Forschung und Lehre sind in unserer Praxis für Mund-, Kiefer-, Gesichtschirurgie von entscheidender Bedeutung. Wir leben das Prinzip der evidenzbasierten, leitliniengerechten (Zahn-) Medizin und können so zur kontinuierlichen Verbesserung der Behandlungsmethoden und zur Ausbildung (zukünftiger) Fachkräfte beitragen. Die Ärzte unserer Praxis sind Autoren von über 70 internationalen Veröffentlichungen (alle peer reviewed und PubMed gelistet) und einer Vielzahl von Veröffentlichungen in deutschsprachigen Fachzeitschriften und Fachbüchern. In Zusammenarbeit mit der DGMKG und dem BDO engagieren wir uns in der Fortbildung von Ärzten und Zahnärzten im Bereich Implantologie und Parodontologie. Für den Fachzahnarzt für Oralchirurgie besitzt die Praxis die in Nordrhein maximal mögliche Weiterbildungsermächtigung von 12 Monaten.

Ein besonderer Punkt ist unsere universitäre Zusammenarbeit:
Die Kooperation mit der RWTH Aachen ermöglicht die praxisnahe Ausbildung von Studenten auch in unserer Praxis. Darüber hinaus erfolgt die Betreuung von Doktorarbeiten und anderen wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten für die Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover. Die Praxis steht Studenten der Medizin und Zahnmedizin für Famulaturen und Praktika offen. Darüber hinaus sind wir bei der Danube Private University Krems für Famulaturen akkreditiert.
Wir ermöglichen den Studierenden, uns bei der Arbeit in der Praxis zu begleiten, darüber wertvolle Erfahrungen im Bereich der Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie zu sammeln und ihr theoretisches Wissen in der Praxis zu erleben.
Behandlungen durch Studierende finden in der Praxis explizit nicht statt, hierfür sind die verschiedenen Abteilungen der RWTH Aachen zuständig.

Betreuung von Dissertationen und Masterarbeiten

Aus unserer Praxis heraus entstehen eine Reihe von akademischen Arbeiten. Zum einen betreut und begutachtet Herr Priv.-Doz. Dr. Dr. Alexander Zeller Dissertationen und andere wissenschaftliche Arbeiten der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover. Zudem übernimmt Herr Dr. Dr. Ralf Kettner die Betreuung von Abschlussarbeiten im Masterstudiengang Implantologie und Parodontologie der Universität Witten/Herdecke.
